In the past, Asgard has been connected to many world-changing events, many of which had very negative affects on humanity. The government of New Asgard would like to address these controversies to qualm any hesitations for guests visiting in the coming months.
The alien attack on New York City in 2012 was orchestrated by the Asgardian god of mischief Loki, brother of Thor. However, Thor defeated Loki with the help of some of earth’s mightiest heroes. Loki was given a life sentence by his father Odin and his actions were and continue to be condemned by both Asgardian royalty and commoners.
Thor, being an Avenger, is mistakenly blamed for the arterial intelligence known as Ultron almost annihilating mankind. It was Thor’s teammate Tony Stark who is ultimately responsible for that creation and the events that resulted from it. All members of the Avengers, including Thor, saved the world from Ultron and fixed the problem that they created.
Thanos, the alien responsible for half of the planet’s population for 5 years, is the only one to blame for that horrific incident. Thor and the other Avengers did everything in their power to prevent it. In time they amended it, but it must be known that during those 5 years Thor thought of nothing else but finding away to bring back those who were fallen*
The legacy of Asgard is one of heroes, and of Avengers. The people are proud to share their history and their culture with the rest of the world (Trumbore, Hutchinson. 2022).
*Any protests against Thor will not be tolerated in New Asgard and will be dealt with in whatever manner Thor sees as necessary.
New Asgard has evolved as a culture since moving to earth. There are some Asgardian traditions that mankind would not necessarily seem appropriate for modern earth society. The government of New Asgard acknowledges this, and has tried to implement changes to its culture in an attempt to accommodate their visitors.
For the first time in Asgard’s history, there is a female King! Thor, Odin’s son and the heir to the throne, graciously stepped aside and let his fellow Avenger Valkyrie be ruler. Under her guidance, she has made Asgardians feel like they are one of us, not above us.
The fashion of New Asgard can seem as old-fashioned to some. But there is a relevance and elegance to it. Long flowing fabrics make up the majority of styles. Both men and women wear them along with battle armor as a sense of honor. Even Asgardian children wear armor in preparation for the day they become mighty warriors.* However, King Valkyrie’s outfit of choice is a suit. This shows the world that in New Asgard, people of all positions, genders, and species can be successful in anything they wear.
Language an aspect of Asgardian culture that has evolved over millenniums. Being on the oldest groups of people in the universe, and having access to all of the 9 realms, including Earth, Asgardians have had a hand in creating every human language. No matter what language you speak, all visitors will be able to make conversations with locals. The earthly language most similar to their native tongue is Icelandic. But, because Thor is an Avenger, he learned English and in turn taught it to his people (Reimer. 2022).

When interacting with the people of New Asgard, please approach them with caution. This group of people have experienced a lot of loss in recent years. It is through their willingness to help their community financially that guests are allowed in New Asgard in the first place.
Pictures are a wonderful way to capture the moment on your vacation. Some Asgardians are willing take pictures with people, while others may not be comfortable doing so. Please ask respectfully and be respectful to any individual who denies a request.
When posting pictures on social media, the Asgardians ask that you be kind and respectful of their culture in instagram captions. Not every Asgardian is like Thor, he may be the most well known but the rest of them are not gods.*
Asgardians are are very proud people. They are loud and can be a bit forward. Human customs are very new to them. During meals it custom for them to throw their drink down and yell for another, and when battle is sacred tradition to them. Because of this, they train the young in combat from an early age. All of this may seem odd to us, but it is important to remember that Asgardians come from a distant planet in different galaxy (Racoma. 2019).
*Any visitor seen mocking or disrespecting any local will be asked to leave New Asgard and will be forced off the premises if they do not comply.
The beach and mountains are all abound in New Asgard. Whatever type of vacation someone might be seeking is available. The ocean, waterfalls, Forrests, cliffs and prairies, the natural beauty and variety of Norway meets the excitement of Asgard.
The coast is where the journey begins for many visitors. Cruise ships doc at the port and are greeted by Asgardian traders of all species and trading drinks and minerals only New Asgard can provide.
When first entering New Asgard the climate can often affect which its natural wonders you choose to visit first. Any time of year will provide a suitable temperature for all types of amenities.
In July the beaches are a popular spot for those looking to cool off in the 20 degree weather, 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Please keep in mind that space on the beach is limited and reservations are necessary to secure a spot.
The forests are available for hiking and recreational sports. All hikes are required to be done so in groups with an official tour guide. This is done with the safety of guests in mind. Any guests who do not stay with a group will be left behind if they do not return to their ship by the time it disembarks.
Th cliff side prairies are available for families who want to have a picnic with an amazing ocean view. The remaining pieces of Thor’s magical hammer mjolnir are available for viewing, immovable from where they lay. However, any guests can attempt to lift them to see if they are worthy to wield mjlonir.
The edge of the cliffs are blocked off for guests and they are not advised to stand near them.* However, rides on the viking boats are available to take guests over the cliffs and over the ocean (Geography Now. 2019).
*Guests who jump over the cliffs might not be saved by an Avenger. The government of New Asgard may not be sued for an injuries sustained while doing actions that are advised against.
The city of Tensberg has a long history with the people of Asgard, as well as with the Avengers.
The oldest city in Norway was first visited by Asgardians centuries ago, in 965 A.D. King Odin, Thor’s Father, led his army against the Frost Giants during their attack on the people of Tensberg.
Centuries later, in 1942, Nazi scientists Johann Schmidt, also known as the Red Skull, attacked Tensberg with his army, known as Hydra. He successfully obtained the Tesseract, an Asgardian artifact. Thankfully Captain America was able to stop him and save the planet.
In more modern times, the seed of New Asgard was planted by Odin when he chose to make Tensberg his home later in life. Before his death he told his sons Thor and Loki, “Remember this place…home.”
Thor did remember, and after Asgard was destroyed, decided to come to Tensberg, and make it a refuge for Asgardians and all people of the universe. It came during a time when the world could use a place like that.
Half of the planet’s population disappeared, and our world needed a figure to fix our broken pieces. Thor was that figure. He opened renamed Tensberg New Asgard and declared it a haven for all beings in the universe*
After Thor and the other Avengers brought half of humanity back, New Asgard became a place of gratitude for people who want to thank our heroes, mainly Thor, in person and show them how much they mean to us (Trumbore, Hutchinson. 2022).

New Asgard is a human’s chance to meet extra terrestrial beings, both from Asgard and other other plants in the universe. Being in the presence of gods can be intimidating, but tour guides will be available to show you the sights and provide meet and greets in the safest way possible.
Dinning in New Asgard is not for the faint of heart. The portions are big and hearty. The local dinning halls have meals for the entire family available in every price range. To wash it down pubs serve Asgardian beer, the strongest drinks you could taste, as long as you are 18 years old or older.
Entertainment abounds in New Asgard, the rides on flying viking ships and theatre performances by the best Asgaridan actors will provide you and your family with days worth of entertainment. On select days, Thor himself appears and greets guest for pictures and autographs.*
